BELINDA
FENTY
ACTOR
Hi, I’m Belinda Fenty, a London-based actor with an insatiable curiosity for storytelling and a love for pushing creative boundaries. I’m always looking to deepen my craft and explore new ways of collaborating with others to tell bold, diverse stories. I trained at ArtsEd drama school and have since performed in a range of plays, including my debut at the Garrick Theatre, along with a mix of short films and web series that have been well-received in the UK and the US.
Most recently, I performed in Give Me Back at Riverside Studios (Feb 2024), a project that really struck a chord with me. I also co-host the Let’s Re-Act podcast, where we champion diversity in the arts and dive into all things acting.
One of my proudest works is I Am Light, a short film I wrote, produced, and acted in, addressing the Black Lives Matter movement. It’s been selected for >25 festivals worldwide so far and is next showing at the BAFTA-qualifying Aesthetica Film Festival.
Outside of acting, I’ve had quite a few unique experiences that shape (or reflect!) who I am. I actually have a medical background—I’m a doctor—and once did a 10-day silent meditation (Vipassana) retreat. Oh, and here’s a fun fact: I survived 40 nights on a desert island with nothing but a machete and a 24-hour supply of water.
One of my favorite quotes at the moment is by Albert Camus: “The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.” It resonates deeply with how I approach both my art and life.
